“Zimmer vs. Williams” with The London Concert Orchestra

Elizabeth College Summer Orchestral Course, Guernsey.

Founded in 1974, The Elizabeth Summer College Orchestral Course is a residential (by host family) and day Orchestral Course suitable for students aged 8 – 20, which takes place on the beautiful island of Guernsey during August. This year the Symphony Orchestra will once again be conducted by Pete Harrison.

ECSOC provides a fun and educational setting for all students to develop their abilities and confidence in performing. Our professional tutors enthuse students with their energy and challenging repertoire.

This year’s course takes place from Monday 20th – Saturday 25th August 2018.

Heroes & Monsters with the BSO

Once again Pete Harrison unleashes the full power of a symphony orchestra in a concert packed full of stirring and epic soundtracks of the silver screen – this time featuring music from films with monsters galore, whether they be prehistoric dinosaurs, giant beasts from the jungle or the deep, supernatural creatures of the night or psychopathic killers. Titles include The Mummy, Dracula, Psycho, Silence of the Lambs, King Kong, Super 8, The Abyss, Pan’s Labyrinth, Jurassic Park, Lord of the Rings, Jaws and Gremlins composed by Hollywood greats from Bernard Hermann to Michael Giacchino, Jerry Goldsmith to Howard Shore and, not forgetting, John Williams.
