Conducting : ABBA SYMPHONIC SPECTACULAR

There was a time many years ago that I spent quite a lot of time in the Scandinavian countries. While I was here I became aware of some very large scale stadium concerts put on as a tribute to Benny & Bjorn by some of people who worked with them on a regular basis. I did a bit or research and found out who had put these concerts on and who had the music for them. After a bit of persuasion, Anthony Brown (BSO) and I persuaded them that they really should hire the material to us for our first Abba concert, and so it was born.

Much like the Queen concert, the arrangements are for 4 singers (plus Pop Choir), Rock Band and full symphony orchestra and is a real delight. The great Steve Sidwell has recently done his own versions of some of the great Abba songs which fit beautifully to compliment the Swedish versions. Singers for these concerts have been provided by the lovely Annie Skates from Capital Voices.
